About Me
I’m Jake, a very passionate artist with strong desires to work in the games & film industry. My specialty within 3D workflows is visual effects, but I do have a keen eye for detail regarding 3D animation.
I graduated at Torrens University, Ultimo, Sydney, Australia in December, 2024. Shortly after completing my studies I managed to pick up a role as a 3D animator & VFX artist for QByte Studios in February, 2025.
Working at QByte as a Contractor has been great so far, and I’ve been learning a lot about Unreal Engine. Some key takeaways have been animating with the Control Rig in both IK & FK, as well as figuring out how to create effects, such as explosions, muzzle flashes, and weather (lightning, rain, rain splashes on the ground).
Although I’m still working on QByte’s game, I aim to continue developing my skills, ideally through the film industry or other games studios.
